0.4 www.ultra-germany.com ULTRA Germany Tradition, Präzision und Innovation seit über 130 Jahren Meilensteine einer Erfolgsgeschichte 1888 Gründung von ULTRA Die Anfänge gehen auf August Kirsch zurück, der in Aschaffenburg eine moderne Fabrik für Lehren und Messwerkzeuge gründete. 1930 Übernahme durch Carl Jacob Kolb Erstmals firmiert Carl Jacob Kolb mit „ULTRA PRÄZISIONSWERK ASCHAFFENBURG“, eine Bezeichnung, der er mit Energie und Weitblick gerecht wurde. Das Jahr 1888 gilt somit als Gründungsjahr von „ULTRA“ in Aschaffenburg. 1955 Übernahme durch Schäfer (später FAG Kugelfischer) Die Spezialisierung der Fertigung auf FAG spezifische Sonderanferti- gungen führte dazu, dass das Kernprogramm „Messzeuge und Lehren“ etwas in den Hintergrund gedrängt wurde. 1984 Übernahme durch Werner Bayer Nach der Trennung von FAG folgte die Übernahme durch Werner Bayer, der das Unternehmen als ULTRA PRÄZISION MESSZEUGE GMBH weiterführt. Längenmesstechnik ist jetzt wieder das Kerngeschäft des Unternehmens. Durch Auslagerung der Produktion auf viele kleinere Fer- tigungsstätten, die zum großen Teil ihren Ursprung in der traditionellen Vergangenheit der Ur-Firma haben, entsteht in kürzester Zeit wieder ein bedeutendes Programm an hochwertigen Messzeugen und Lehren. 1990 Nachfolgeregelung Bereits im Alter von 25 Jahren tritt Stefan Bayer, der älteste Sohn von Werner Bayer, ins Unternehmen ein und kümmert sich fortan um den Vertrieb der ULTRA Produkte und das Produktmanagement. ULTRA Germany Tradition, precision and innovation for more than 130 years Milestones of a successful history 1888 Foundation of ULTRA The foundation stone was set by August Kirsch who established a modern factory for gauges and measuring tools in Aschaffenburg. 1930 Take-over by Carl Jacob Kolb Carl Jacob Kolb used the name „ULTRA PRÄZISIONSWERK ASCHAFFEN- BURG“ for the first time and he did justice to this designation due to his energy and vision. Thus the year 1888 is the official foundation year of „ULTRA“ in Aschaffenburg. 1955 Take-over by Schäfer (later on FAG Kugelfischer) The specialisation of the production in FAG specific fields lead to the result that the core product range of measuring tools and gauges was pushed into the background. 1984 Take-over by Werner Bayer After the separation from FAG the company was taken over by Werner Bayer who re-founded it under the name ULTRA PRÄZISION MESSZEUGE GMBH. From that moment on metrology has became the core business of the company again. Due to the dislocation of production in several smaller manufacturing workshops, most part of them having their origin in the tra- ditional past of the initial company, a considerable program of high-quality measuring tools and gauges could be created within a very short time. 1990 Succession policy Stefan Bayer, the eldest son of Werner Bayer, joined the company already at the age of 25 years, and henceforth he took charge of the sales and of the marketing of the ULTRA products as well as of the product management.
